National Anthem of Malaysia - the Malaysian Federal Constitutional Monarchy

Malaysia is one of the Asian countries geographically located in Southeast Asia. Malaysia is one of the few Federal Constitutional Monarchies on Earth. The Malaysian peninsula has thirteen states and three federal territories. One of the largest cities, Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of the Malaysian peninsula.
The word Malaysia was derived from the Tamil words "malay" which means "mountain" and the word "sia" is a suffix that means "city". Hence Malaysia means the city of mountains.
Just like many other Asian countries, the Federation of Malaysia was also under the control of United Kingdom till 1957. On 31st August, 1957 Malaysia became independent from the United States. "Negaraku" is the National Anthem of Malaysia. "My Country" is the meaning of the phrase "Negaraku".
The National Anthem of Malaysia was taken from the French melody  "La Rosalie".  They lyrics for this song was composed by  Pierre-Jean de BĂ©ranger. This National Anthem of Malaysia was formerly implemented as the state anthem of Perak. However in 1957, when Malaysia became independent, "Negaraku" was elected as the National Anthem of Malaysia. There are different songs with the same melody tune.
