Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world, located
in South America. It stands fifth place both in terms of area and population. Portuguese
is the major language of Brazil.
“Hino Nacional Brasileiro” is the National Anthem of Brazil.
It was originally written and composed by Francisco Manuel da Silva in 1831. However, the lyrics
were modified in 1922 by Joaquim Osório Duque-Estrada.
“Hino Nacional Brasileiro” was taken as the National Anthem
of Brazil two times – once in 1831 during the Empire of Brazil and in 1890 in
the Federative Republic of Brazil. The National Anthem of Brazil consists of
two stanzas. However, the second stanza of the National Anthem of Brazil are
not sung at sports events.
