National Anthem of India
India got Independence on 15th August, 1947. Nation Anthem of India was written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore in 1911. Though it was written in 1911, it was adopted as the national anthem of India on 24th January, 1950.

English Version of National Anthem of India:
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.

Controversy of National Anthem of India:
It is highly believed that this is the modified version of Brahmo hymn written for the reception ceremony of King George V, in Calcutta. The exact explanation about the anthem is still a controversy.
