Bahrain is one of the islands in the islands group of located
near Western shores of Persian Gulf. Dilmun is the civilization of Bahrain. Along
with India, Bahrain was also under the rule of British. Almost all the
countries under the rule of British became independent in August, 1947. Bahrain
is not an exception.
Unlike the other countries, Bahrain has two versions of the
National Anthem of Bahrain. Though Bahrain became independent in 1947, the
National Anthem of Bahrain was adopted in 1971. The first version of the
National Anthem of Bahrain was used from 1971 till 2002 i.e., the first version
of the National Anthem of Bahrain was used for 31 years.
The second version of the National Anthem of Bahrain was
adopted in 2002 and it is in use till date. The second version of the National
Anthem of Bahrain was adopted in 2002, when the Govt. of Bahrain made amendments
in the Constitution of Bahrain.
The lyrics of the original version of the National Anthem of
Bahrain was written by Mohamed Sudqi Ayyash. No one knows about the composer of
the National Anthem of Bahrain. But, it was recomposed by Ahmed Al-Jumari.
Though Bahrain is an archipelago with Persian islands, the
official language of Bahrain is Arabic. So, the National Anthem of Bahrain was
originally scripted in Arabic.
