National Anthem of Congo

Congo is one of the Central African countries. The name Congo came from the Congo river basin of the country. Congo is also called Congo-Brazzaville. Bantu is the major language of Congo. Congo was one of the parts of French colonies, in the African lands near the equatorial region.

Congo became independent from France on 15^th August, 1960. “Debout Congolais” is the first National Anthem of Congo. Later, the National Anthem of Congo was changed to “La Zairoise” in 1971. Later, “Debout Conglais” was readopted as the National Anthem of Congo in the year 1997.

The National Anthem of Congo was written by Joseph Lutumba and the composition for the National Anthem of Congo was done by Simon Pierre Boka di Mpasi Londi. The original lyrics of the National Anthem of Congo are in French, as it was ruled by France.
